Production area
The production of I.G.T. Rosso del Pievano originates from company’s vineyards, all-organic, that are located on hills with same name in Montaione country, in the province of Florence, about at 450-550 metres above sea level.
Soil composition
Silty-loam, medium calcareus, well drained for the presence of skeleton (rock).
Vinification
The Rosso del Pievano is produced with grapes came from the oldest winery’s vineyards, in fact the Cabertnet Franc and the Cabernet Sauvignon have more than 70 years. After the manual harvesting of the grapes, the wine is vinified in vetrified cement tanks. Later, it is aged in French oak barriques for 16 months and at least 12 months in bottle before being sold.

Intense ruby red.
Bouquet
Powerful and surprising on the nose for its fresh balsamic notes, which are combined with the smell of grilled pepper and assorted berries, such as currant and blueberries.
Palate
Pleasant to the taste with light and subtle tannins, providing a tasty and enjoyable finish.
Alcohol content
14% vol.
Tasting
It pairs especially with roasted meat dishes, game, cheese aged and cold cut with an intense taste, braised meat and stuffed pastas, ethnical dishes with rich and flavored sauces, gently spiced. Uncork and decant the bottle .one hour before to drink it and serve at temperature of 18°C
