Production area
The production of Chianti Riserva Fortebraccio D.O.C.G. originates from company’s vineyards, all-organic, that are located on hills with same name in Montaione country, in the province of Florence, about at 350 metres above sea level.
Soil composition
Medium texture, deep, rich in schistes and marls.
Vinification
After the manual harvesting and the destemming of the grapes, the maceration occurs in vetrified cement tanks about for 20 days to obtain the best extraction of color and tannins. The wine then is aged in French oak barriques for at least 12 months. A further 12 months in bottle aging then completes the cycle before it can be sold.
Colour
Beautiful deep ruby appearance.
Bouquet
It inspires the nose to experience tertiary notes of tobacco and leather,
sustained by aromas of jam, blackberries and plums, with a few hints
of aromatic herbs, such as sage and rosemary.
Palate
Soft in the mouth, it shows well-integrated tannins, providing for a fruity aftertaste.
Alcohol content
13,5% vol.
Tasting
Wine to pair with first courses, cold cuts, roast pork, it goes well with
game, rich and tasty recipes and aged cheese.
Serve at a temperature of 16-18°C.
